
Dr. Marcia Tate is the former Executive Director of Professional Development for the DeKalb County Schools in Georgia. She is a former teacher, reading specialist, language arts coordinator, and staff development director. As an educational consultant, she has taught over 500,000 administrators, teachers, parents, and community leaders throughout the world and has authored 11 books, eight of which are included in the best-selling Worksheets Don’t Grow Dendrites series. Marcia received her bachelor’s degree at Spelman College; a master’s at the University of Michigan; a specialist degree in educational leadership at Georgia State University; and a doctorate in education at Clark Atlanta University. She is married to Tyrone Tate and the proud mother of three children and nine grandchildren.
